How to install Plesk on CentOS
In this tutorial, we will explain to you How to install Plesk on CentOS.
Plesk is a commercial web hosting platform with a control panel that allows a server administrator to set up new websites, reseller accounts, e-mail accounts, and DNS entries through a web-based interface. The administrator can create client and site templates, which predetermine resource-allocation parameters for the domains and/or clients.
Prerequisites
You will need:
- A VPS running CentOS
Step 1 – Download Plesk
First, you need to download Plesk installer by running this command:
wget http://autoinstall.plesk.com/plesk-installer
After, give permissions to the downloaded file:
chmod -R 775 plesk-installer
Step 2 – Install
Now its time to run the installer:
./plesk-installer
Enter F if you want to go forward.
Now select the product to install. Just hit Enter to install the latest version.
Select the installation type, for Recommended just hit enter.
Type f to start the installation. Wait a few minutes for installation complete.
After complete, you will be able to access Plesk in http://youripaddress:8443.
Step 3 – Configure
Open a browser and go to Plesk admin panel http://youripaddress:8443.
Fill out Contact Information, Password, License and click on Enter Plesk button. You will be redirected to the admin panel.
You have successfully installed Plesk in CentOS.
